am i a dick?

for not loving my new cat yet? what? he's new! i think he's really cute? we hardly know each other! i don't just start loving people willy-nilly! we've only had one real conversation, and that was about meatball subs! hardly grounds for falling madly in love with one another.

I don't think you're a dick. I think you're being reasonable to proceed cautiously. You don't want to go running around throwing your heart at anything that makes eye contact long enough, only to end up heartbroken and embarrassed when you realize you've both been on different pages this entire time. ...There is an 85% chance I am not talking about your cat anymore.

For the other 15% - nah. He's new. Give it time.
